open arms

What a fantastic few days. The open mic at Iota proved to be wonderful with a great reception, and I got to play 5 songs!

Yesterday at noon I had a radio interview at WSGE out of Gaston College in Dallas, NC. Ben was so nice and what a great interviewer. He caught me off guard a few times because he did some research on me! He also told me that I was voted as one of DiscoveringArtists.com's dream duo shows with Dean Fields. I've never met Mr. Fields, but feel that I must check out his music now! Maybe we can make that dream come true.

Charlotte, NC is like my home away from home. I've met so many wonderful people and musicians here that I have had the pleasure of singing with and even writing with. The show last night at the Evening Muse was so much fun, and my friend, Reeve Coobs sang gorgeous back-up for me. Tonight I picked up a last minute gig at a place called Jitterz Coffee & Wine in Harrisburg, NC. I'll be playing along with Reeve Coobs and David Holtzclaw. And, I just added another show in Charlotte for my return trip on June 17th at the Pewter Rose with Volatile Baby. They're 3 amazing women with gorgeous spirits and voices. See- Charlotte just opens its arms to me!

This morning, my friend and I went to yoga, out for Mexican and then for manicures and pedicures. aw yeah. Of course my nails will only look pretty for a few hours...and then I'll pick up the guitar. Oh well. It's worth it for a hand massage.
