September 2004

Ciao everybody. My apologies for not journaling since February. Wow. February. So much has happened since February. For one, my new CD, So Long My Love, has been released and is doing greatly. I'm so glad that people are loving it as much as I do. In May, I performed a release show in Caldwell, NJ, on the same campus as my high school. (Mount St. Dominic Academy) It was in a beautiful round theater at Caldwell College. My whole band came down from Boston, and what made it even more special was that it was Richard's (bass player/producer) first show with his new heart. (yes, new heart- literally) Wow. I felt so honored to have him there. It just would'nt have been the same without him.

So, I am officially releasing "So Long My Love" to the Boston area on October 21st at the Paradise Lounge! (details on the "Tour" page) My dreamy band, as I like to call them- because they are dreamy, will be playing, of course. Playing music with these guys is special. Please come out and see this special night.

My trips to NC, and VA have been wonderful. I'm so glad to be building a following down there and to be making so many great friends down there. A recent friend is Jay Garrigan of the band, Poprocket. (They're SO cool) Jay & I co-wrote a very cool song and we are currently making a demo of it. As soon as it's ready, I'm going to post it on my website for all to hear.

My first trip to California is coming up in November and I'm so excited! I'll be doing some shows with fellow divas, Kyler, Adrianne and Sylvie Lewis. What a reunion.

New songs are coming to me and I can't wait for you all to hear them. Please keep coming to my shows and helping me to spread the word to your friends that I'm alive and that I play good music. (at least *I* think it's good!) It's such a treat to have you all in the audience. THANK YOU.

And, just in case you were wondering, as I'm writing this, I'm listening to kd lang's new one...a gorgeous album of cover songs, including Joni's "A Case of You" and Ron Sexsmith's "Fallen". ah. so gorgeous.
