Oh, Ron

Ron, Ron Sexsmith. Your new album has been the soundtrack to my last few weeks of being on the road. It's comforted me when I was in traffic and lost in DC, and driving down 85 South...and back up again. What a gorgeous record! Thank you, once again for another masterpiece.

Today I recorded some acoustic demos at Tom Dube's house. There's one picture of me there on the gallery page on this site....So, yes, that means I'm getting ready to record another album soon. Well, maybe "soon" is not the right word. "Soon-ish".

The weather is delightful up here this week. Getting me psyched for Fall....and psyched for all of the fall cd releases like Patty Griffin, Jonatha Brooke and Shawn Colvin. Man, when it rains...

My tour down south last week was really great. The house concert at Lake Norman was just super fun. Thanks to David and Trisha Austin. And the Rockwood Music hall....my favorite NYC venue. The best Chardonnay I've had, too. :-)

That's all I really had to say. Mostly wanted to gush and drool in "public" over Ron Sexsmith. He's so damn good.

Oh! One more thing...Go SOX!!! Brush yourselves off and make us proud again.
