Blossoming Spring

Hey there,

Sorry I haven't written in a while. SO much has been happening around here with planning the June tour, etc. I have 2 pieces of really exciting news...i am a finalist in the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Troubadour Contest. So, what the heck does that mean? And where the heck is Telluride? Telluride is in CO...The only time I've been in CO was in 1992 in Denver, for "World Youth Day", to see the pope. Wow, that was a long time ago in so many ways.

So, what this means is that I get to go to an amazing Bluegrass festival, see Bonnie Raitt, Nickel Creek, John Prine and so many freakin more amazing songwriters...oh yeah, and I get to play a song as well. It's a contest, but in my mind, just being there amidst Bonnie Raitt, I've already won. The winner of this contest gets to perform a 15 minute set on the MAINSTAGE! It's going to be fun, no matter what.

My 2nd piece of fun news is that I'm going to be playing at Symphony Hall in a "pre- concert" before Aimee Mann takes the stage with the Boston Pops. (June 28 and 29) I LERVE Aimee Mann, and I may have to watch Magnolia again before these shows to remind myself how much i love her and how cool she is.

So, it's been a blossoming Spring in so many ways.

Liz Stahler and I will be hitting the road in a week...We'll try to bring you some updates from the road, so stay tuned.
