If There Were No Music...

Hey All,

It's unbelieveable what's going on in the south. It's disheartening. Mother Nature claims her authority. If you're feeling helpless, like me, here's one tiny, tiny thing you can do. For the entire month of September, if you purchase my album, So Long My Love, from my CDBaby page, ALL of the money will go to the Red Cross who are helping out with this cause. Warm thoughts, wishes and prayers go out to the universe for dry, sunny, healing times to quickly rebulid the lives of those involved.

Speaking of healing, last night I went to see Shawn Colvin and John Hiatt. Wow. It was inspiring to see/hear them both perform in a huge (and packed) ampitheater with just their voices and acoustic guitars. And, Shawn ended her set with her classic song, "I Don't Know Why" in which she sates, "...if there were no music, then I would not get through...I don't know why I know these things, but I do." How poingant, given the state of south. I always feel like I have just "filled my tank" after I see Shawn every summer. It'll get me through the year... until next summer.

A few shows on the Autumn calendar so far...more being worked on. ...as well as some new songs. So, keep checking the website for more additions to the Tour page.
