Peachy Hi Everyone reading this,
Thanks for venturing to my journal page. Sorry I let a month go without journaling. I guess I'm just trying to get out there and enjoy summer...I've been running a Songwriting Contest at Berklee College of Music's Summer Program, and that has eaten up a bunch of my time, too. But, I've still found time to go for a big, hilly bike ride with my friend Liz Stahler, got a lobster roll and some fried shrimp in Ipswich with my sweetie, as well as sea shell searching on the beach up there, too. Summer reading has been so relaxing. I'm curently devouring "The Patron Saint of Liars" by Ann Patchett...author of "Bel Canto", which I've been dying to read as well. Anyway, I'm trying to eat up Summer as much as I can. We're already into the 'dog days'. One month left. ahhh!!! Quick- pass me a peach! ;-)
On another note, I'm so happy Manny wasn't traded from the Sox. Yes, he's a diva sometimes, but he's OUR diva. and i like it that way.
This month, I'm offering a deal on 'So Long My Love' purchased on CDBaby.com. If you buy more than one copy of it at a time, you receive a 20% discount. Wow. What a deal!!! This is in part because there's a contest run by CD Baby that the top 100 sellers can be part of a compilation CD put together and sent out by CDBaby. And, I want to win!!!! So, help me out, and buy some copies of 'So Long My Love' for your friends and loved ones. Don't forget birthdays and wedding presents, or just-for-the-heck-of-it presents. Go to my CDBaby page and buy, buy, buy!
The new download this month is "Big Grey Cloud". ...a newer song of mine in raw form. My dear friend/collaborator, Richard Gates came over and played some bass on it and sang some back-up on it, too. Can't wait to record it with the band for the next album. Don't hold your breath, though...i still have some songs to write for that...so, enjoy the song in its rawest form here.
A new artist that I've come into contact with and am excited about is Malcolm Singleton. He's from Alabama and his songs are incredible. Do yourselves a favor and check out his website here
Enjoy the dog days...get your fill of peaches, blueberries, gelato and baseball.
