February 1st 2004
Happy Belated New Year January was a great month for me. I tasted 50 and even 60 degree weather while I was down south and escaped Boston’s mean, frigid temps. But, I’ve been back in the hub for a couple of weeks and my blood is thickening again. It’s ok. I absolutely LOVE my new neighborhood in Cambridge. I love that there are several coffee/tea shops right outside my door and every type of food you could ever crave. …except Thai…someone needs to open a Thai place nearby. Right now, I’m cozy in my little home office sipping my latest obsession: French Vanilla tea. Thanks to Katie & Jonny in Chapel Hill for supplying me with my first hit of it. I’m addicted.
I want to personally thank everyone that I met in VA, NC, GA, & TN on my recent tour. Everyone was SO incredibly nice and receptive to my music. I really had a great time… not just saying that. And, I won the Eddie’s Attic open mic contest! That means I’ll be back in Atlanta in June competing against all the winners of the next 6 months for the grand prize. I will also return to the rest of the south with my new CD! I just got a rough draft of the artwork and I’m so thrilled with the way it’s looking. I can’t wait for you to see and hear it all!! I’m counting on an April release. Please help me spread the word to all of your friends and anyone else you’d think would like me…even if they’re not your friends.
February is going to be a preparation month for me…preparing for the release and stuff. I’m also going to be updating the website with pictures and current news, and hopefully more current everything. As soon as I can, I’m going to post clips of the new CD…and probably a whole song at some point, too. Free stuff; always fun. Lyrics will be posted on the site as well. So, do keep
visiting me here!
February is always exciting for me, because I anticipate my birthday coming in March (March 2nd for anyone keeping track)…which means strawberry season is close by, too. In the meantime, enjoy the month of “love”…and don’t hold back. ~ kristin
